Introduction to Vedic Astrology

Vedic Astrology is one of the sacred sciences of the Vedas that originated several thousands of years ago in India. Vedic Astrology is originally called “jyotisha”, which literally translates into the “science of light”. Jyotisha is the scientific study of planetary movements and their impact on human life. There is an inseparable connection between ourselves and the universe, our soul and the light of the stars. If we look into someone's eyes, we can see there is a spark in them that cannot be reduced to their biochemical ingredients. The Vedas teach the unity of the cosmic creation and the unity between the light in ourselves and the light in the stars. A skilled astrologer can, by the scientific evaluation of the firmament at birth, predict the unfoldment of our lives in the same way as a layperson can predict the rising of the moon by seeing its reflection in the water.

About me

I am Nrikesari. I am a professional Vedic astrologer connected to the 500-year-old Sri Achyutananda lineage. I have been intrigued by Vedic wisdom since I can remember and have lived in ashrams, temples and sacred places all over the world. I spent six years living as a monk in temples in India, Australia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, New York and Germany. I got trained to rise early, practise daily meditation, study Vedic wisdom and inquire into the nature of the self and the world that it contains. My spiritual search led me across the globe multiple times to meet some of our time's most magnificent, knowledgeable and respectable teachers and traditions. Under their ongoing guidance, I am practising and offering my services.

What clients have to say

“Time, exerting his irresistible strength, cooks all creatures, and seasons, the Sun for his fire, and days and nights for his fuel. The person possessed of true vision, beholding this world to be only the field of action, should do good acts.”

— Mahabharata, Santi Parva CCCXXII
